Basic Obedience Classes

The lengthening attention span and maturing personality of the adolescent dog call for a natural transition to more complex commands and more vigorous training exercises. As your skills and experience as a handler increase, so will your expectations for your dog's behavior and your ability to understand and guide his development. You will be delighted when your dog's behavior shows immediate improvement. These are the fun and informative classes for the new handler with the not-so-new dog!

Lessons will include:On - and off-lead work; Heel, Sit; Down, Stay; Hand Signals; Control Amid distraction; Company manners; Behavior problems; Training principles; Dog psychology; Boundary Training

Eligibilty: Any dog age 6 months or older, or dogs age 5 months and older who have completed Puppy classes.
Classes begin: The first Wednesday and first Saturday of every month.


ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Class length: 3 months total at 1 ¾ hours each. Wednesday evening classes run from 6:30 P.M. to 8:15 P.M.; Saturday morning classes run from 9: 00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.
PLEASE ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS WITHOUT YOUR DOG.
